Some Igbo elders and other groups have condemned the bail condition granted to the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, saying they are not excited about it.
ZENITHBLOG.com had reports that Nnamdi Kanu was granted bail on health grounds by the court on Tuesday, April 25.

The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of who must be a serving senator, a Jewish religious leader and highly respected person and must own a land in anywhere in Abuja.
The bail bond was set at N100 million for each surety.
Nnamdi Kanu granted bail
As part of his bail conditions, Kanu was ordered never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial.
The court also ordered that he will not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons.
The judge on the matter Justice Binta Nyako said Kanu’s bail will be revoked if any of the orders are flouted.
The Punch reports that different Igbo groups expressed disappointment at the conditions and said this was a prison outside a prison.
The Igbo Women Assembly said they wondered why Kanu was released and said the fight had just started.

Evang. Eliot Uko who is the leader of the Igbo youth movement said the government was afraid of Kanu.

“From the bail conditions we can see that the haphazard bail is designed to entrap Nnamdi and weaken IPOB.”
The Eastern Consultative Assembly said the Enugu airport would not have been able to contain the crowd that would have come to welcome Kanu when he returned.
