Former US First Lady Michelle Obama made her first public appearance on Thursday, April 27 after a three-month holiday.
She was the keynote speaker at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference on Architecture 2017 in Florida, US.
Michelle looked refreshed and relaxed as she waved and smiled at the audience.
As the keynote speaker, Michelle shared her experience of working as Chicago’s Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Development when she was younger.
She wore a flowing black, white and beige dress that emphasized how relaxed she looked after her extended vacation.

The atmosphere was electric in the audience the numbered close to 10,000 enthusiastic architects from across America. Some among them wore T-shirts displaying her famous words, “When they go low, we go high.”

Among her remarks, Michelle said: “In my other life before I was the first lady, I worked in economic development and in planning; so I got to learn how important of a role architects play in the lifeblood and of a city. [This conference] is a little full-circle for me.”
Michelle and her husband, former US President Barack Obama, have been holidaying at the exclusive Brando resort in French Polynesia over the past month.
They have both taken time off from the public since leaving office in January.
