Nigerians didn’t elect a work-at-home President, Odumakin, Babatope blast Lai Muhammed

The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin

“We elected a president who will work from office not from home. If it gets to a situation where he will be working from home, then the interest of the country requires taking a hard look at the situation and taking the right decision. It shows something is wrong somewhere”.

Former Minister of Transport and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ebenezer Babatope on Wednesday April 26 also described as dangerous the decision by the presidency that President Muhammadu Buhari will now be working from home.

Babatope said the presidency should give Nigerians a comprehensive report on why the president will be working from home.

“That is a new development. If they say he will be working from home that to me is dangerous. I think it is better for the presidency to issue a comprehensive statement. I pray for his good health but Nigerians must be given cogent reasons why he must now be working at home”.

When asked if the president should resign, Babatope said: “That advice cannot be given by someone like me. I belong to the opposition party. I hope that the president will be able to read the lines very well and decide on whether he can still continue in office”.
