The Federal Government has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, April 12, the minister of information Lai Mohammed said the president is hale and hearty.
Mohammed also said that the president’s absence is not an indication that he is not working.

The minister said: “The fact the President was absent at the Federal Executive Council meeting does not mean he is not working.”

In his absence, the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who presided over the meeting called on the minister of Defense, Dan Ali Mansur, to say the Muslim opening prayer, while the Christian prayer was said by the minister of Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah.
Recall that upon his return from his medical vacation at the United Kingdom, President Buhari has said he will be travelling again for a review of his medical status.
Although, the presidency did not specify when the president will be returning to London, his absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting has raised speculations on the current health condition of the President Buhari.
