– Daibo scored 5,546 votes of the 7,837 total numbers of valid votes at the election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Princess Shola Daibo of the Accord Party winner of the vacant Warri-South Constituency 1 seat in the Delta state House of Assembly by-election.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that Olatubosun Olusaya, INEC returning officer and the local collation officer made the declaration at the end of collation of results in Nana College, Warri, on Wednesday, April 26.

Daibo representing Warri-South Constituency 1 scored 5,546 votes of the 7,837 total numbers of valid votes at the poll.
Prince Stanley Emiko, her nephew, who doubles as the All Progressives Congress candidate, polled 2,010 votes to come second.
The Peoples Democratic Party came a distant third with 183 votes. Out of 8,103 accredited voters, 263 votes were rejected.
Princess Daibo is replacing Mrs Omawumi Udoh who died at a London hospital after a protracted illness in 2016.

Udoh who was born in 1960 became a member of the Delta state House of Assembly in 2003, on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). Read more:
