Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode is delighted at the solidarity shown by the southwest for Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of pro-Biafra group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Fani-Kayode said the growing support for Nnamdi Kanu is a sign that the southern part of the country is coming together.

He believes that the Yorubas’ support for Kanu, an Igbo man from the southeast, is some sort of evidence that the southern part of Nigeria has realized the need to work together against the north as he always preached.

He tweeted:

Fayose’s aide Lere Olayinka first announced the presence of the controversial Ekiti governor at the bail hearing of Kanu before pictures emerged of the Yoruba leader embracing the leader of the secessionist group.

Adeyanju is a Kogi indigene from central Nigeria but has Yoruba origins in the Southwestern part of the country.
