Some fellows really need serious help – Amaechi replies Fani-Kayode over ownership of billions found in Lagos apartment

– Fani-Kayode had alleged that Lagos apartment where EFCC discovered huge cash belongs to Amaechi

– The total amount found in the house was put at $43.4m, £27,800 and N23.2m

Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation has debunked allegations made by former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode that he owned the Lagos apartment where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered huge sum of cash on Wednesday, April 12.

Fani-Kayode had on Friday morning, April 14, alleged in a tweet that Amaechi owns the $43 million that was found.

Amaechi’s media aide, David Iyofor in reaction to the allegation said: “FAKE NEWS. Show us the title documents with Amaechi’s name as the owner or shut up. When normal peeps talk, this one also want to talk. SMH.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, April 12, carried out a sting operation in resulting in the recovery

of huge sum of cash hidden in an apartment.

“Someone will just sniff something then comes on Twitter to rant incomprehensible nonsense. Some fellows really need help, serious help.”

“Lying out rightly to defame someone is not politics but pure madness. I just hope someone has not stop taking his meds.”

ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that a sting operation by the anti-graft agency in a residential building in the 7th Floor of a four – bedroom apartment at Osborne Towers located at 16, Osborne road Ikoyi led to the recovery of huge cash in different currencies, which was said to belong to former PDP chairman, Adamu Mu’azu.

In a previous report by ZENITHBLOG.com, a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos had ordered interim forfeiture of the money to the Federal Government.
