– The correspondent Olalekan Adetayo wrote about President Buhari’s health which led to his expulsion on Monday afternoon by the president’s Chief Security Officer

– Femi Adesina said amicable solution would be found to the matter as the president is committed to press freedom

The presidency has reacted to reports that Olalekan Adetayo, a Punch correspondent, was expelled from the Presidential Villa.

Adetayo was on Monday afternoon, April 24, expelled by Buhari’s Chief Security Officer, Bashir Abubakar Bindawa, over a story story on the president’s health. His tag was seized before he was subsequently driven out of the State House.

In a series of tweets, Femi Adesina, the special adviser on media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, said the presidency was not consulted before the action was taken.

He said President Buhari is committed to press freedom an amicable solution would be found to the matter.

The newspaper had on Sunday reported that there was fresh anxiety at the Presidential Villa over Buhari’s state of health.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have reacted to the report, condemning the CSO’s action.

Recently, report surfaced that Nigeria has come out of recession. ZENITHBLOG.com took to the streets of Lagos to ask Nigerians if President Buhari has truly taken the country out of recession.
