ZENITHBLOG.com came across the heartbreaking story of yet another little boy who was being maltreated by the man under whom he is learning to read the Quran.
Months after a little boy was rescued after his own father, a ‘pastor’ chained him for weeks, yet another boy was found chained by a man who was supposed to be teaching him how to read the Quran.
According to a post shared on Facebook, the little boy identified as Hassan, said he was sent to the man by his father who has not showed up since then.
The Malam in charge of the little boy has however been arrested by men of the Gombe police.

The post was shared on Facebook by one Sheriff Almuhajir, and has been translated from Hausa into English, read what he wrote below:
“From Gombe, an officer friend of mine called my phone seemingly in perplexed, about a sad story of a boy, an Almajiri boy, in squalor in the name of studying the Quran.
The poor boy, Hassan by name not more than 6 years of age, narrated that his father brought him into this system, and now the father is late, and that he is clueless on the whereabouts of his mom, who must have married elsewhere.
Under the care of this alaramma, abuse if you can observe, pictures below. The Malam is now in police custody, who denies being his initial tutor.
Northerners beware, this is what leads our children into Boko Haram, takes a weapon to kill others, and they then blame Jonathan or any other perceived enemy. May Allah help us.“
