At a time there are serious agitations from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and a quit notice from northern youths, some Igbo people in Borno state have continued with their trade undisturbed.
Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state shared a video of how he met an Igbo carpenter and his team, all from the south-east, as they were roofing orphanages in Maiduguri.

The Borno state government is currently reconstructing infrastructures destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents. It is not known if the set of orphanages are part of those affected.
In the note accompanying the video and titled: ‘This is the Nigeria of our dreams!’, Governor Shettima said: “Eze is an Igbo man, a carpenter and a resident of Maiduguri who cannot speak Hausa or any of our local languages of the state.
“Eze together with his team of 25 Igbo carpenters are currently working in one of our orphanage schools under construction at Baga Road bypass in Maiduguri.

“I met them earlier this week and we are mightily proud of them.”
ZENITHBLOG.com reported earlier that the Nigerian Army says its troops in the north-eastern part of the country have killed five Boko Haram members.
The troops of 3 Battalion, 22 Brigade reportedly ambushed the Boko Haram members on Thursday, June 29, 2017 according to Sani Usman, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army.
