Boko Haram insurgents have released a photo of three members of staff of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), who were recently abducted by terrorists while on an oil exploration mission in Borno state.
ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that some officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and members of staff of UNIMAID undertaking a research project concerning oil exploration in the area were abducted.

The victims were abducted near a village called Jibi in Gubio local government area on Tuesday, July 25, while moving alongside some personnel of the Civilian-JTF.
Three lecturers from the University of Maiduguri and three others on the oil exploration team in the Lake Chad Basin were earlier reported dead.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that no less than 12 soldiers in an earlier report were killed while at least four out of 12 staff of the University of Maiduguri equally lost their lives.
The names of the deceased are: Dr Milicus Joseph from Geology Dept, Idris Abubakar Njodi and Dr Daniel Birma of Dept of Soil Science.

In an earlier report by ZENITHBLOG.com, the minister of state for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, said he can’t confirm if any of the recently abducted 10 staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have been rescued.
