Xenophobia: See Nigerian man killed in South Africa (photos)

– Four other Nigerians survived the attack even though they sustained varying degrees of injuries

Mr Rasaq was killed in a xenophobic attack against Nigerians in Polokwane, South Africa

ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that two Nigerians were killed in a xenophobic attack against foreigners on Thursday, April 6, in Polokwane, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The Nigerian high commissioner to South Africa, Martins Cobham, confirmed the death of one of the two Nigerians, identified as Rasaq Ajao.

Late Rasaq, was said to be a hardworking mechanic and a shrewd businessman prior to his death.

One of his friends identified as Dike A’na-agbara Izu, shared his sad story on his Facebook page, alongside the pictures of his late friend.

“Shame on Nigerian government!!! RIP Mr. Rasaq. You were a hardworking Mechanic and a shrewd business man. Because of the wickedness of

some South Africans and the systemic support of the South African government to xenophobia and ultimately, the inability and failure of the Nigerian government to protect its citizen – you were battered to death and your car set ablaze while the mob cheered. May your spirit hunt them down and trouble them until they go crazy.“
