He said: “There is a myth that money is easy to come by in America. That is just what some people think. For most immigrants without work authorization that relocate to America, searching for a better life, they have to work odd jobs such as cleaning toilets and washing dishes at a restaurant in order to make ends meet.

Omotosho, who was a 2013 Fellow with President Obama’s policy organization, Organizing for Action also said: Immigrants that have documentation to work sometimes prefer to work in the medical field as nurses

because there is high demand in that field; Americans need care when they age or get sick.

“Immigrants searching for a better lifestyle by monetizing their talents such as being musicians or actors/actresses need to understand that it is easier to establish one’s self in one’s home country than to establish one’s self in America.

“America promotes its citizens first in every aspect of life’s endeavours as compared to immigrants.

“The fact is that they are homegrown talents in America in music, arts, and entertainment that are also searching for the same opportunities.

“The end goal for you if you move here may just to become a nurse.
