The meeting comes at the peak of the squabble between the Senate and Presidency.
The national working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will meet with its caucus in the Senate on Tuesday, April 4.
The spokesperson for the party Bolaji Abdullahi said the committee will also meet with the party caucus in the House of Representatives.

The party said the meeting will review strategies to ensure a good working relationship between the APC, the Senate and the Presidency.

In his statement, Abdullahi said the APC is currently building peace which was initially initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari had earlier constituted a team of mediators led by vice president Yemi Osinbajo.
The team is saddled
Abdullahi said: “The Party reiterates its commitment to ensure that the relationship between the two critical arms of government improves further, and commended the National Assembly leadership for its maturity and pre-disposition to have all the issues resolved as quickly as possible in the interest of the party and the nation as a whole.”

He also said that stiff measures would be taken against party members who derailed on the efforts of the peace process.
Abdullahi said: “The party, however, warns that it would not hesitate to take appropriate action against any member whose utterances or behaviour are capable of jeopardizing the peace initiatives or further worsening the existing situation.”
