The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has paraded five suspected crude oil thieves handed over to the anti-graft agency by the Nigeria Navy.

The suspects are currently undergoing investigation at the Port Harcourt, Rivers state zonal office of the EFCC for dealing in petroleum products suspected to be automated gas oil.

The EFCC gave the names of the suspects to include Jeffery Adaboke, Ayebaene Kalango, Prince Legbosi, Tega Adade, Ifeanyi Silvanu.

It added that they were arrested by officers of NNS Pathfinder, Naval Base, Port Harcourt, on April 1, 2017 around Isaka axis onboard Tug Boat PK111 and a metal barge laden with products suspected to be AGO.

The suspects were handed over to the commission for further investigation by EREkuma, a commander in the Nigeria Navy.

An operative of the EFCC, Gidado Musa, who represented the zonal head EFCC south/south, received the suspects, Tug boat and the metal barge on behalf of the commission.

ZENITHBLOG.com learnt that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
