According to Mr. Emma Powerful, IPOB media and publicity secretary, the Turkish government had on April 7, 2017 recognized the people of Biafra in Turkey.
Powerful also alleged that the Turkish government had also publicly pledged to put in motion a strategy that would help in the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra.
He insisted that the government of Turkey has also signified their willingness to facilitate the release of Kanu and others being detained along with him.
The strategy will be facilitated by taking the struggle for Biafra independence to the United Nations and other relevant organizations in the world.

He said: “This recognition and support from the Turkish government proves to the entire world that the unique model of liberation adopted by our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is yielding the desired results because Biafra is at an unprecedented height in terms of global acceptability and grassroots awareness.”
ZENITHBLOG.com had reported some months ago that the group gave reasons why the group is agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra.
Part of the reason given is that Freedom is God’s given right. The group said freedom is a God given right to his people.
It said the British colonial matters and soldiers abused the mind of Nigerians.
“We are fighting for Biafra, because freedom is our God given right, and the restoration of Biafra sovereignty, which Fredrick Lugard, the British mercenary soldier abused and defiled is our utmost priority. Which our fathers fought for in 1967 and 1970 that was surrendered with the slogan of no Victor no vanquish,” IPOb said.
Meanwhile, despite much criticism of the just ended Big Brother Zenithbloga reality show, ZENITHBLOG.com has been able to capture reactions of Nigerians as a winner finally emerged.
