The suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Engr Babachir Lawal has left the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he rushed off to meet Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The SGF was not aware of his suspension and had to head down to the Presidential Villa for clarification
In an earlier report by ZENITHBLOG.com, Lawal denied knowledge of his suspension demanded to know who wrote the statement announcing the development.
Babachir who rushed into Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s office when his suspension was announced on Wednesday, April 19 feigned ignorance of the action of President Muhammadu Buhari.
On his way out of the meeting with Osinbajo, Lawal was quoted as telling State House correspondents that he was not aware of his suspension and further requested to know who wrote the statement announcing his suspension
Many had said in the passed that the anti-corruption war would remain a child’s play if Babachir was not trued and relieved of his duties
Lawal arrived Osinbajo’s office minutes after President Buhari suspended him over his alleged complicity in the mismanagement of funds meant for the Presidential
In an encounter with reporters on Wednesday April 19 shortly after his suspension was announced, a clearly shocked Lawal stalled on all the questions he was asked.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that while he was informed that his suspension was announced by the presidency, Babachir retorted: “Who is the presidency?”

In a similar vein, Ambassador Ayodele Oke, the suspended Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), wept as he made frantic efforts to enter the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The NIA boss made attempts to seek an audience with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo shortly after his suspension was announced but was turned back. In the process, of avoiding journalists, Oke was driven towards the Service Chiefs’ Gate from where he was turned back.
He has since left the premises.
