The city of Onitsha which is also pronounced as Onicha, is a located on the eastern bank of the Niger River, in Anambra state.

This metropolitan city has a great history that endears it not only to the Igbo people, but to Nigeria as a whole.

It is known for its river port, and as an economic hub for commerce, industry, and education.
