Twenty-four year old Emmanuel Cletus was able to combine his academic studies while teaching.

On why did you decide to become a teacher, he said: “I always wanted to pursue my aviation career. So that’s what made me go in that line.

As God would have it I found myself in a school and realized my love kids. I

saw that I loved teaching and decided to put more effort into it.”

Cletus who says he is worth over a million naira, does not think that a teachers reward is in heaven.

“Well with this present generation I don’t think that saying really works because from the experience I have teachers make a lot. Teachers have the opportunity to make more money from home lessons. They make up to N25,000, N50,000 on a child per month. So I don’t think a teacher’s reward is in heaven one can have it here,” he said.

It was challenging for him to combine his academic studies with teaching and his job as a principal.

He said: “Well to be honest it’s been really tasking. For all my programmes I decided to run part-time so that it would give me time to further my studies during the weekend.”
