PDP exposes APC mole in opposition party

– PDP youths say Elechi would not be missed because he was making no contributions to the opposition party

– Onu, leader of Ebonyi PDP youths, says Elechi worked for the APC while in the PDP

– He said a clead evidence of this was the fact that he criticized former President Goodluck Jonathan’s polices and the national confab

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths have accused former Ebonyi state governor Martin Elechi, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), of being the ruling party’s mole in the opposition.

Daily Sun reports that youth leader of PDP in Ebonyi state Mark Onu said this while assuring members that his exit would not affect the party.

Onu, who is also the leader of Akubaroha Youth Assembly described Elechi as a serial betrayer who had nothing good to offer the opposition party.

According to him, the former governor stayed in the PDP and worked for the APC in the last election.

PDP youths say Elechi is APC mole

Elechi defected to the APC at the weekend and the youths claimed he had been working for the ruling party all along as its mole in the opposition

He said: “It is not a new thing that he defected, he was never been with us, as a PDP governor, Elechi worked against the party, so we are used to his anti party activities even while in the party”

“It is even good that he has finally bowed out on his own and it is a good omen for the PDP because his exit has further vindicated us as a political party that he was a mole in APC even as a serving governor on the platform of PDP.

“Elechi was the only PDP governor that criticised our former President Goodluck Jonathan’s policies especially his statement against national confab which he described as huge joke and waste of time.

“He is not even a threat in any way, the youths of Ebonyi state have said it over and over again that never shall we allow such elements to drag us back now that Governor David Umahi has obliterated the cog in the wheels of our development by developing all sectors of the state economy simultaneously.

“There is no gainsaying the fact that Umahi remains the only governor that remembered the youths, evident in his appointment of over 300 Senior Technical Assistants and Technical Assistants and the youth empowerment scheme.”

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that former president of the Senate David Mark has reiterated his commitment and loyalty to the PDP.

Senator Mark says he would not abandon the opposition party even at this time when they are experiencing crisis.

Speaking in Makurdi on Monday, April 10 during a stakeholders’ meeting, Senator Mark said he joined the PDP due to its ideology and not because he wanted to become a senator or to hold any office.
