The birth day poster of High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo, aka Tompolo, is causing wild reaction on social media, more especially the attachment of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state as the birthday’s special guest of honour.
Tompolo’s birthday will be celebrated on April 12, 2017, the event which will mark the 46th birthday of the most wanted Niger Delta warlord by the Nigeria’s security apparatus.
But what is causing trouble on the internet is the dignitaries already billed to attend the birthday slated to hold at Oku-Emi Hotels in Warri.

It has Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clarke, national leader of Ijaws as father of the day while Governor Okowa and his deputy, Kingsley Otuaro, as special guests of honour
But reactions have so far trailed the placement of Governor Okowa as special guest of honour of the birthday ceremony of a man declared wanted by security agencies in the country.
Following the development, many have said Nigeria is a country where politicians do not obey the laws of the land, considering the fact that the said Tompolo is declared wanted but government officials are celebrating him.

Also, the organisers of the event have printed T-shirts and interested people are being invited to place order for their T-shirts, noting that participation in the event is the wearing of the T-shirt.
In the T-shirt they unveiled, they called him the Hero of the Niger Delta.
Tompolo was born in 1971 in Okerenkoko in traditional Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri south local government area of Delta state.
ZENITHBLOG.com can report that many have described Okowa’s attachment to the event as a thing Okowa has no power to decide, saying if he fails to attend, he might have issues with Tompolo.

Others are of the opinion that attending a birthday lecture does not mean someone is disobedient to the law, adding that the theme of the celebration, “The Niger Delta Question” is enough to drag even President Muhammadu Buhari to the event.
However, some also see Okowa as Tompolo’s man, hence he must be in attendance with his deputy, whom Tompolo allegedly appointed to serve as Okowa’s deputy.
The official T-shirt was unveiled by his loyalists led by Godspower Gbenakama, spokesman of the Gbaramatu kingdom.

While unveiling the branded T-Shirt for the celebration, Mr. Gbenekama described Tompolo as a man focused and dedicated to the service of his people and that he should be celebrated even in absentia.
Professor Tosan Harriman of the Centre for the Advancement of Democratic and People’s Rights, Bayero University, Kano, is expected to be the guest speaker.
The event is also expected to attract other dignitaries, especially from the South-south region.
