Embattled House of Representatives member Abdulmumin Jibrin has denied reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun moves to recall him from the legislature.
Jibrin says reports that his constituency members want him recalled were not true
Jibrin made the denial on Thursday, April 6 in a singular tweet in reply to popular social critic Kayode Ogundamisi’s tweet that the lawmaker’s constituency members should be demanding for return of looted funds rather than trying to recall him.

ZENITHBLOG.com recalls that hundreds of Jibrin’s supporters from his Kuru/Bebeji federal constituency, on Wednesday, April 5, thronged the Kano state headquarters of the APC in protest against his planned suspension by the party.

Worried by the lawmaker’s comments, the state chapter of the party decided to take disciplinary action against him, a decision that did not go down well with the people of his constituency.
Meanwhile, President Buhari has come under criticisms from another eminent northerner in the Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II over his newly released economic plan for the nation.
The Emir said the Buhari administration’s economic model would not work because it will incur more debt.
The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria said this while speaking at the Kaduna State Economic Summit in Kaduna on Wednesday, April 6 on the theme: ‘Promoting investments in the midst of economic challenges’.
