The personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media Lauretta Onochie has condemned the recent action by the Rivers state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps against some female officers of the corps.

Onochie in a tweet on Tuesday, April 11, morning said the cutting of the hair and finger nails of these female officers by Andrew A Kumapayi is humiliating to women.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that the hair and finger nails of some female FRSC officers were cut during a parade by the sector on Monday, April 10.
The photos were shared on Facebook by FRSC Rivers sector with the caption: “The sector commander RS6.1, Rivers CC Andrew A Kumapayi conducting a general (hair, uniform and finger nails) inspection on staff of RS6HQ, Port-Harcourt and RS6.1, Rivers during the parade on Monday 10th April, 2017.”

However, while condemning the act, Onochie did not specify what punitive measure might be taken against the FRSC sector commander.

Also, many Nigerians have reacted to the action by the FRSC saying the commander’s approach must not be associated with the present government.
