Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state on Thursday, gave out the total sum of N10 million to members of Association of Beer, Food and Drinks Sellers in his state.

ZENITHBLOG.com learnt that the governor, on 31st of January, 2017, had promised to support the association with some money.

The governor reportedly distributed the cheques to about 500 members of the association who came from the 16 local government areas of the state, Nigeria Bulletin reports.

Fayose gave out N10 million to Association of Beer, Food and Drinks Sellers in Ekiti state.

At the ceremony, which took place at the Government House in Ado on Thursday, April 20, Governor Fayose said the gesture was in fulfillment of his promise to them during their inauguration.

Fayose also explained that the initiative was also in line with the stomach infrastructure programme aimed at supporting their business.

He urged beneficiaries to refund the loan as and when due so others can benefit. He urged those without voters card to take advantage of the registration which will commence on 27th of April, 2017 by INEC.

Meanwhile, Fayose has suggested that President Buhari may be governing the country by proxy following the president’s absence from state functions.

Fayose in a statement issued on Thursday, April 20, by his special assistant on public communications and new media, Lere Olayinka, questioned whether or not Buhari was now governing the country by proxy following the president’s absence from state functions, especially the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings.
