Following the prolonged stay of Nnamdi Kanu in custody, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has charged the governors of the South East geo-political zone to do more beyond their decision to intervene on the continued detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

MASSOB says Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other pro- Biafra agitators cannot be left to languish in various Nigerian prisons any longer.
Vanguard reveals that the governors, who took the decision during their meeting in Enugu on Sunday, promised to meet President Muhammadu Buhari on the matter.
Reacting on the governors’ decision, MASSOB leader, Mr. Uchenna Madu expressed happiness that the governors of the zone had risen from their slumber on issues concerning the interest and survival of their people.
Advising the governors to match their words with action, the MASSOB leader said that Igbo people were tired of unfulfilled promises and assurances
He said that with the stand of the Igbo governors, MASSOB was optimistic that the next court appearance of Nnamdi Kanu and others would lead to jubilation in Igbo land.

Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that The Itsekiri National Youth Congress (INYC) says their name should not be included in Biafra map.
According to them, failure to remove it will result in a civil war.
According to the president of the group, Esimaje Awani, ‘Itsekiri and its territories should not be included in any IPOB or Biafra plan.’
According to him, the Itsekiri people are an indigenous group of Nigeria’s Niger Delta region.
He said the people occupy Warri South, Warri North and Warri South West local government areas.
