The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has commended Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state for deploying his wealth of experience and managerial skills in governance.

According to the revered emir, Governor Obiano is sustaining Anambra state’s ‘march to greatness.’

He said his friendship with the governor had stood the test of time due to the governor’s ‘steering qualities’ which he said had distinguished him from his peers.

Emir Sanusi made the comments when he was hosted by the governor at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, while on a visit to the state.

Emir Sanusi was a colleague of the governor during their banking days, while he made his name in First Bank, Obiano rose through the ranks at Fidelity Bank.

Sanusi extolled the virtues of Obiano, stressing that he demonstrated excellence while contributing his quota in the banking sector.

class="align-left">He expressed delight at having the opportunity after a long time of sitting with the governor to review events in the country, praying that the nation should continue to find peace in face of challenges.

Earlier in his remark, Governor Obiano hailed Sanusi’s contributions towards the development of the banking industry, saying his visit lent credence to their longstanding relationship.

Emir Sanusi led a delegation to Anambra state to visit the governor

Meanwhile, Sanusi has reacted to a report that his emirate spent N6 billion left behind by the former emir, saying it was false.

Alhaji Mahe Bashir Wali, who spoke on behalf of the emir explained that Bayero left behind N2.9 billion. He said the emirate has only spent N3.4 billion since Mr. Sanusi emerged emir in June 2014.
