Premium Times is reporting that a High Court in Minna has granted bail to former Niger state governor Babangida Aliyu.
According to the report, his former Chief of Staff Umar Nasko was also granted bail.
The two men are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged corrupt practices while in government.

The two were remanded in prison custody by the court on April 25 after they were docked by the

Just minutes before reports of their release emerged, former aviation minister and PDP chieftain Femi Fani-Kayode demanded their freedom as well as that of Sambo Dasuki.
