The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on Wednesday, May 31, celebrated the success of the sit-at-home protest ordered by the group.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that the event which took place in his hometown Isiama Afara Ukwu, Umuahia in Abia state was aimed at celebrating the success of the protest yesterday.

The celebration was held by the IPOB leader with a cake cutting session, ZENITHBLOG.com gathered.
A source within the Kanu’s family told ZENITHBLOG.com that the IPOB leader was filled with joy at the level of compliance to the protest.

The source said: “He said this is the best thing that has happened in history, in fact, he called it epic and historic.”
Also in a short piece forwarded to ZENITHBLOG.com, Kanu was quoted saying: “God bless you all. This is your victory!”
“It is the victory of the cause of freedom in every land. In all our long history we have never seen a greater day than this. Everyone, man or woman, has done their best.
Everyone has tried. Neither the long years, nor the dangers, nor the fierce attacks of the enemy, have in any way weakened the unbending resolve of the Biafra nation. God bless you all.”I celebrate this day with you all,” Kanu said.

ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that major states in Nigeria were like graveyards following the sit-at-home protests observed by Biafra supporters.
Also, the IPOB claimed that 75 countries around the world joined Biafra supporters to observe the sit-at-home protest.
