Yemi Osinbajo has been serving as acting president since President Muhammadu Buhari departed for London on a medical vacation.
As acting president, Osinbajo on Monday, May 29, in a televised broadcast sent a powerful message to Nigerians urging them to be ready to make sacrifices as that would put the country on course to be great.
The acting president in his message noted that there was bound to be challenges in the course of pursuing the Nigerian dream, which is the desire to better Nigerians’ lives.
He also urged Nigerians into continue to live peace and harmony with one another,
However, while delivering his broadcast, only two flags, were positioned behind Osinbajo as opposed to the normal four.
ZENITHBLOG.com recalls that in 2016 Democracy day broadcast, President Buhari delivered the speech behind four flags; 2 national flags, and 2 flags of Nigeria’s armed forces – that symbolises the commander in chief of the armed forces.
But when, acting President Osinbajo delivered his May 29, 2017 democracy day speech, these armed forces’ flags were missing, prompting suggestions that the acting president is not the commander in chief.

ZENITHBLOG.com recalls that the Senate during plenary on Tuesday, May 9 read a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari on his travel to the United Kingdom for medical check-up.
In the letter, Buhari had said said he had no definite date for his return as his doctors would be the ones to determine his return date.
The letter said the length of the President’s stay in London will be determined only by his doctors.
Yemi Osinbajo was tasked with coordinating the affairs of the country until President Buhari is allowed to return to Nigeria by his doctors.
