The minister of women affairs, Senator Aisha Alhassan has admitted that the recently rescued 82 Chibok girls can’t speak good English.
The minister made the comment today, Tuesday, May 30 while receiving the girls officially from the DSS.
The event took place at the Women Development Centre, Abuja, where a facility has been prepared for them.

The girls were formerly in the DSS medical facility where they were subjected to medical tests and certified okay.
“We will do what is necessary to ensure that the girls are okay. They will continually undergo therapy.
“They will be with the ministry till September till the school year resumes. We don’t want them to miss the next start of the school year.
“We want them to start school early to improve their learning and english. Most of them can’t speak good English,’’ the minister said.

The minister took journalists round the facility which includes classrooms, a sick bay, a chapel and hostels.

ZENITHBLOG.com had reported that the 82 schoolgirls who were among those abducted from their hostel in Government Secondary School, Chibok by Boko Haram terrorist were released earlier this month.

The minister of health, Isaac Adewole, had said the girls will undergo various medical investigations and psycho-social tests.
