Chief Johnbull Efe Oviri Onochojare, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside over two hundred of his loyalists in Kokori ward 6, Ethiope East local government area, Delta state.
According to Onochojare, he was once in PDP, left there for DPP and later returned to PDP and now in final bus stop at APC, where discipline, internal democracy and due process is the hallmark of the party, Vanguard reports.

The former PDP chieftain described his years in PDP as wasted years.
Addressing members of APC faithful at Kokori, Onochojare expressed dissatisfaction over the manner and conduct of his former party PDP, noting that the attitude of party leaders had made a lot of people to leave the party.
On hand to receive the PDP defectors were Ethiope East party chairman, Pastor Steve Eruotor, party leaders, Chief Philip Eyagomare, Chief Tony Erukeme and ward chairman, Chief Jerome Manuwa.

They described Onochojare as grass root politician whose defection will bring back other lost sheep.
Eruotor and Erukeme, commended the leadership of the party, Chief Asiwaju Tinubu and Chief John Odigie-Oyegun for their leadership style.
They added that what the party had experienced in Kokori will eventually happen in all the wards of the local government area.
Recall that a wave of defection recently swept across the camp of the PDP in Lagos, carrying off 6 of the 8 PDP members of the state House of Assembly, and dropping them off in the camp of the APC
The defection was announced on Thursday, February 16.
