Emir Muhammad Sanusi II of Kano state has warned Muslims in Nigeria to shun hatred but maintain unity.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the top traditional and religious leader, who is also the national president-general, Jama’at Faedat Tijjaninniya of Nigeria, gave the warning on Sunday, February 26 at the inauguration of Ansarrudeen Attijanniyya, Kwara chapter, in Ilorin.

The report said the emir who was represented by the national secretary-general of the society, Sayyidi Yahaya, explained that Islam is not a religion to show-off, but by its adherents having clear understanding and practice of its tenets.
“Do not hate, Islam is not by hating others, as our mission propagating peace, unity and togetherness,” he was quoted as saying adding that the objective of the society is to become the most peaceful group in Nigeria and bring out the best of humanity in people.
While urging members to integrate to move the society forward, he noted that Ansarrudeen Attijaniyya was established in Kawlakh in 1960 by the late Ibrahim Inyas.
In his remark, the grand Khlifat of Ansarrudeen Attijanniyya in the state, Abubakar Yusuf-Akeyede, said the occasion afforded members the opportunity to familiarize with one another and chart ways forward.

He urged Muslims to shun restiveness and other negative tendencies and embrace entrepreneurship, stressing that they have roles to play towards the development of their immediate society.
