– The Senator, therefore, called for a holistic approach in stemming the crisis
The Senator representing Kaduna central, Comrade Shehu Sani, has lamented that arresting indigenes for defending themselves from those attacking them will not solve the problem in Southern Kaduna.
It was gathered that the Senator who was speaking with Barnawa APC elders in Kaduna during a courtesy call said: “The ugly situation in Southern Kaduna is not an exception to Northern Kaduna, there is need for all hands to be on deck to nip the situation with all sense of sincerity.

“If there is no peace in Southern Kaduna, there is no way Kaduna State will be in peace. We must stay together so long as God brought us as one.
“Southern Kaduna is faced with the problem of Christians and Muslims that has been there for years, clashes between farmers and herdsmen, visitors and indigenes and people who hide in the bush to attack innocent people at night for no reason.
“What is happening now in Southern Kaduna has happened in Birnin Gwari, Zamfara and other parts of the state.
“There must be a holistic approach in stemming the situation. A poor Man in Southern Kaduna is faced with the same problem with a man from Zaria which is caused by corruption.
“During Saudauna, there was no difference between a Kataf man, a man from Kano and a man from Katsina but today showing difference has grown to be a cancer in our generation.”
Senator Sani urged Barnawa APC elders to be conscious of some political leaders who do not care about their wellbeing, stressing that very soon; they would start seeing them and their posters.
“The colossal amount of money being spent on the media to attack and insult Comrade Shehu Sani is enough to do good project,” he noted.
He advised the elders to deliberate and come up with a project that would benefit the entire Barnawa community.
The elders in their different submission thanked the Senator for identifying with them, saying: “We have not benefited anything from this government. We are facing challenges of our youth unemployment and Women not being empowered.”

They expressed confidence in the ability of Senator Shehu Sani to support them, adding that: “It is our hope that our problems will be solved through you.”
The elders further prayed for him to continue the good work he has been doing, stressing that they would support his governorship ambition in 2019.
