Owing to some bad spots along the Benin-Warri expressway, on Sunday February 26, 2017 two corps members died following a road crash involving their vehicle and an SUV.
Besides the two corps members, four other unidentified travelers were also confirmed dead in the Jetta car which rammed into the SUV coming from the opposite direction.

According to Vanguard, the incident occurred near Okwejeba junction in Okpe council area of Delta state.

An eye witness who spoke to vanguard but preferred not to mention his name, said: “The Jetta car left Effurun on its way to Sapele when it had a head-on collision with the SUV, which was coming from the opposite direction on speed.”
Though the Warri-Benin Expressway is a dualised road, motorists are faced with using single sections of the road owing to some bad spots on the road.
