You have probably heard about the troubled personal life of celebrity David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido. There were some fights between him and his baby-mama Sophie Momodu for daughter Imade. Sophie’s family filed a petition addressed to Davido, blaming him fir kidnapping the child. During a medical examination, it was discovered that Imade was infected with a large dose of cannabis. It was passed to her from the mother through breastmilk. This led to serious harm to girl’s body.
Davido’s family had to treat her and undergo a lot of medical procedures. The child needed special care and was taken to a hospital in Dubai. The father paid for the trip and all the medical expenses.
In December 2015, Imade had to go to Dubai for treatment again.
At that moment Davido baby mama, her relative Dele Momodu, and his wife interfered. They prevented Davido and his family from leaving the airport. After this incident, the family problems became known to the general public.
Sophie reported that her daughter had been under the care of her father for many months. She was outraged by such a long separation from her child and wrote a petition to Director-General National Agency, trying to prevent Imade’s journey.

The well-known journalist said that Davido’s statement that Sophie had infected their seven-month-old daughter with cannabis was cruel and untrue. At first, he just wanted to reconcile the girl’s parents, but after Davido attacked an innocent mother who just wanted to be with her child, he changed his views. The journalist also published a post on Instagram, where Davido and Dele Momodu story was described in the way he saw it.
He said that his relative was criticized unjustly. Even the result of an test confirming that she smokes cannabis was not true. He added that the media’s greed for filthy news was what led to such a lie being circulated. In this story, it is very difficult to find the guilty, as everyone seems to be a victim.
Dele Momodu urged the public who followed his family events not to believe the dirty rumors. He said that Imade traveled to Dubai with her aunt Ashley Adeleke. Sophie did not give consent to this. She was not allowed to personally take care of the baby. Ashley did not send her any medical reports. She only got a photo depicting Imade and aunt swimming in a pool of one of the most luxurious hotels in the world.
Sophia saw that her daughter was there with another woman. All she could do was get nervous and worry.
The Momodu family had to beg for months to return the child to the mother. She was allowed to see Imade only 1 day a week, every Sunday when she came to Adeleke’s house.

Momodu endured this and tried to refrain from responding. The real battle for the right to be near the child began when the Adelekes again were going to take Imade abroad without Sophie’s consent.
Dele Momodu had no choice but to fight the unfair attacks against the poor mother without violating any law.
Davido denied these accusations by Sophia and her relative. He said that authorities only tried to take the girl away from the mother because she was a drug addict. The singer also claimed that initially, his rejected mistress agreed that Imade should travel to Dubai, but at the last moment, she wanted to go with her to the family vacation.
Adeleke argued that Momodu need to care for his relative better. He also said that the famous journalist and his wife were not interested in Sophie’s life until she gave birth to Davido’s child.
