Senator, Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial district has specifically ordered that online platforms covering Senate plenary would no longer participate in his press sessions.
According to Daily Post, this was manifested on Friday, when Melaye held a press briefing at his residence located at Mississippi, Maitama district in Abuja.
The lawmaker strictly invited only the print and electronic media.

The press briefing, however, was over Kogi governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s involvement in double registration of permanent voter’s card.
There are over 10 online platforms and several newspapers as well as TV stations accredited to cover National Assembly proceedings.
Unfortunately, for online platforms on Friday, Mr. Melaye had previously arranged through the Senate Press Corps leadership that ‘Online platforms’ be left out of his events.
His disposition to online platforms was further shown on Tuesday, when he suggested that Nigeria Space
Meanwhile, several calls put across to Senator Dino Melaye to confirm the development went unanswered.

APC leaders in Kogi state have unanimously called for the resignation of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The party leaders who have been at logger heads with the governor made the call at the Abuja home of Senator Dino Melaye on Friday, May 26.
Melaye, who escaped assasination attempts on his life in the state last month, had acuused the governor of sending the thugs to silence him.
Also at the press briefing is the APC chairman in the state, Alhaji Haddi Ametuo, who led some members of the party to pass a vote of no confidence on the governor last year.
The APC leaders advised the governor to resign or face impeachment.
