Officials of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has stormed the Abuja official guest house of the deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
This raid occurred less than a month after Ekweremadu cried out that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) is after him.
Recall that ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that the deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu raised an alarm that the EFCC has perfected plans to invade his country home in Enugu.
According to Ekweremadu, the anti-graft commission wants to carry out the operation under the guise of searching for looted funds.
The Special Adviser to Ekweremadu, Mr Uche Anichukwu who confirmed the guest house raid claimed that neither Ekweremadu nor any of his senior aides were informed before the raid was carried out.

According to him, only the guest house steward was present when the policemen stormed the building at the 10 Ganges Street, Maitama guest house.
Anichukwu said nothing was found from the search by the officers who laimed to be from the Force Headquarters, Vanguard reports.
Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to claims made by deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu that the agency plans to set him up.
EFCC in a statement on Wednesday, May 3 through its spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said the agency does not involve in blackmail.
