– APC says the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, should have been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
– The group also condemned the administrative panel for investigation set up by the government
The APC has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of double standards in the anti-corruption war.
The group says the suspended SGF, Babachir Lawal, should have been handed over to the EFCC, adding that there was no need for an administrative panel for investigation.
The APC added that as Buhari’s kinsmen, its hope in the anti-corruption war of the president was gradually fading away.

The group further stated that it considers recent happenings in the polity as a renege on the president’s promise in fighting corruption that, ‘there will be no sacred cows’.
In an open letter to the president titled: ‘A tale of two anti-corruption war,’ and signed by Abdulkadir Mohammed, the group expressed concern about the way the anti-corruption war was being fought by the government.
According to the group, “The suspended SGF should have been handed over to the EFCC as the federal government did to the personal physician of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Fiberesima, who is being accused of fraud worth 285million.”

Recently, the group called on Buhari to stop the current negative campaign against Jonathan and focus on improving the quality of lives of millions of Nigerians.
The APC also advised Buhari to focus on the mandate of fixing Nigeria and improving the quality of lives of the millions of Nigerians, adding that the Buhari administration must not be over-saturated by people from the northern part of the country or people who share a peculiar history with the president.
