Former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido was on Tuesday morning, May 2, arraigned for allegedly inciting his supporters to violence, Premium Times reports.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that Lamido was docked on a four-count charge at a court in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader is accused of inciting his supporters to violence in the build up to local government elections set to hold in Jigawa on July 1.

In a previous report by ZENITHBLOG.com, Lamido was arrested at his Sharada Kano home on Sunday, April 30 morning and taken away to the Zone One Command of the Nigeria Police in Kano.
The Nigeria Police Force Zone 1 Command in Kano took the former Jigawa state governor to Dutse for trial.
Lamido was escorted by heavily armed police officials to the Jigawa capital in an hour drive on Tuesday, May 2 morning.
