A state High Court sitting in Kogi has sacked the Olu of Odokoro-Gbede Alhaji Ganiyu Isa, Punch reports.
Isa was sacked by Justice A.B Akogu after the court declared that the his nomination and installation was never in line with the judgement of the State High Court in Lokoja.
The court also declared that Mallam Busiriyu Aliu be installed as the new Olu of Odokoro-Gbede in Ojumu local government are of Kogi state.

In his ruling, the Akogu said the March 30, 2011, by the Omoaguni Elewonunibi family be upheld.

He also said that the appointment of Isa by the defendants is null and void.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that while giving a perpetual injunction restraining Isa from further parading himself as the Olu Odokoro.
The court also ordered that the Ijumu traditional council and
Isa was appointed by some individuals in as the Olu of Odokoro after the death of Oba Solomon Bodunrin on January 30, 2002.

His appointment since then resulted to a long standing power tussle between the Omoaguni Elewounibi family and Mallam Busiriyu Aliu, who were said to be the rightful owners of the leadership.

Speaking on the court’s judgement, the new Olu of Odokoro-elect said the court and the community members fought and endless legal battle.
He further urged the community members to support and collaborate with him for sustainable development with their community.
