According to This Day, George, when reviewing the political situation in the country, cautioned Nigerians that no nation has ever survived two civil wars intact.
The PDP chieftain said that any move to overthrow the government would be ill-advised.
He also pleaded with people stoking the fire of ethnicity to desist from such, saying that if Nigerians still see things from the point of north versus south, then there is something wrong somewhere.
Bode George said the worse form of civilian rule is better than the best of military rule
“I want to beg those making these inflammatory statements to be very careful,” he pleaded.
Speaking from the angle of someone who he has seen it all as a military officer in political position and as a civilian, George insisted that the worse form of civilian rule is better than the best of military rule.
The PDP chieftain called on any officer interested in politics to resign and join politics instead of planning a coup which might never succeed but plunge the nation into political chaos.
