Nollywood actress, Ify Okeke, has lashed out at Pastor David Ibiyeomie, of the Salvation Ministries, following rumors that he said people who are single at 35 are irresponsible.
After news of Pastor Ibiyeomie saying anyone who is single at 35 years is irresponsible went viral on social media, lots of people have come out to criticise his statement.
One of such people is Nollywood actress, Ify Okeke, who shared her thoughts on Pastor Ibiyeomie’s alleged speech via her Instagram page.
Ify who is not a stranger to controversy herself especially when she suffered backlash after she shared pictures of her holding balloons depicting she was ’17-years-old’ on her birthday, blamed the preacher’s alleged speech for being one of the reasons she has to claim to be ‘under-aged’.

Sharing one of the photos that sparked controversies on her birthday, Ifeoma wrote:
“So yesterday I read something in one of my whatsapp groups and God knows I was so upset, I tried ignoring it but then again I couldn’t understand it. I felt INSULTED PERSONALLY, I felt BATTERED, battering isn’t only when someone beats you, trust me when I say some words can cut sharper than new knife, I felt more than words could ever describe but then again I directed everything to God.
YESOOOO to GOD because I wonder how a MOG will say that SOMEONE IS IRRESPONSIBLE FOR BEING SINGLE @ 35! Like seriously? I know how many of my mates & younger ones who are gone, some are widows, some mentally disabled and so on then again I say to God that this insult is directed to you. Habaaaaa, wetin hapun? When I told you guys that I will not be more than 30years till after having kids you didn’t understand me! Na because of this kind talk make me dey celebrate my 17 jejeee infant next year Na 16 till I have my 7kids. Meanwhile, a video debunking the earlier rumor about what the preacher really said, has surfaced. In the video, Pastor Ibiyeomie was seen addressing men who according to him, still behave like ”boyoyo at 37 years,” asking them to “carry a wife and be responsible.”
