Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima, on Wednesday, August 23, swore-in Chief Kester Ogualili from Anambra state as his special adviser on community relations.
ZENITHBLOG.com however gathered that this was Chief Ogualili’s appointment in the same position by the governor for the third time in a row.
The action of the governor, who also doubles as the chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, has been hailed by political watchers in the country.

In his speech during the event, Governor Shettima reminded all the appointees that they entered into covenant to work for the people of Borno state, stressing that they must continue to do so by identifying key priorities of the populace.
“Political appointments confer identity and the authority to participate in governance. You all deserve your appointments, which I should add, came at Allah’s time.
“As special advisers, I will like to task you with the important task of monitoring ongoing projects and programmes in ministries and establishments related to your offices, for the purpose of reporting to me with pictorial evidence.
“For chairmen and co-chairmen of transition c, your task is to coordinate and supervise the safe return and resettlement of our brothers and sisters displaced by Boko Haram.
“Each of you is to serve your respective communities. We consider your tasks as very crucial in the lives
“You will need to monitor reconstruction works and restoration of livelihoods in communities. As two important conditions, you must ensure that the return of displaced persons is voluntary and only displaced persons return to only communities that are certified safe with full return of civil authority that should include the security of farmlands and routes,” the governor said.

Meanwhile, barring any last minute changes, the Coalition of Northern Youth Groups (CNYG) will today, Thursday, August 24 suspend the quit notice issued to Igbos to leave the north by October 1.
The northern youths have concluded plans to announce the suspension of the quit notice at an international press conference in Abuja after the intervention of stakeholders like Governor Shettima.
