The Presidency has moved to stop lopsided appointments into the federal civil service by streamlining the procedures involved.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that the Presidency has released new procedures that will guide recruitments henceforth.
A circular seen by ZENITHBLOG.com on Saturday, July 15 expressed the Presidency’s concerns over the increasing number of backdoor recruitments by federal government agencies.

ZENITHBLOG.com had previously reported that the director-general of the Directorate of State Security (DSS), Lawal Daura, may soon have to face the Nigerian Senate over the alleged lopsidedness in the recruitment of cadet officers in the DSS.
The Senate Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs says it has commenced an investigation into the alleged lopsidedness in the recruitment is the secret service, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The chairman of the committee, Sen. Tijjani Kaura said this in a Point-of-Order at plenary on Thursday, May 18 and promised that the committee would soon come up with its recommendations.
