In order to tackle the recent flood which has destroyed properties, the Lagos State Government has launched Central Business Districts (CBD) Market Sanitation Task Force.
Agboola Dabiri, special adviser to the governor on Central Business District (CBD), and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration on Monday, July 10, where shops were allocated to traders.
Dabiri during the distribution of the 30 shops to beneficiaries of the pilot scheme at Onikan Lagos, explained that the initiative was part of efforts at eradicating street trading within Lagos CBD.

Earlier, ZENITHBLOG.com reported that Ambode of Lagos state on Monday, July 10, reacted to the recent devastation witnessed by residents living in Lekki, a highbrow area of the state due to excessive flooding.

The flooding was caused by torrential rainfalls in the state for days causing the destruction of properties while roads and vehicles were enmeshed.
Ambode said his government was coming with plans to curtail such occurrences as it is working towards embarking on holistic solutions to address the situation once and for all.
