The Federal Government has reaffirmed its promise to see to the end of the Fulani herdsmen menace.
According to Premium Times, the Nigerian government made the reaffirmation on Tuesday, May 16.
The government says that most of the herdsmen carrying out attacks across Nigeria are foreigners.
The minister of agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, stated that the federal government plans to stop illegal entry of cattle rearers into the country.

Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Abuja, Ogbeh said the government plants to make a presentation to the Africa Union to bar illegal entry of the foreign cattle rearers into Nigeria.
The stance of the Nigerian government is similar to that of Northern governors who have also said most of
Herdsmen attacks across Nigeria have caused the death of thousands of people in states like Kaduna, Benue, Taraba and Niger.
One of the most recent of such attacks occurred in Niger State in the early houses of Sunday causing the death of about 20 people.
In an earlier report by ZENITHBLOG.com, rhe Taraba police command, on Tuesday, May 16 confirmed the death of three persons.
They died as a result of the fresh herdsmen and farmers conflict in Bali local government area of the state.
ASP David Misal the police spokesman while speaking with journalists in Jalingo said additional personnel had been deployed to Gazabu, Kungana, Tukun Ruwa, Utsua Daa and Kpenkpen villages, where the crisis occurred.
He said: “Yes we received reports that since on Sunday, there has being series of attacks in the remote communities in Bali local government area of the state, but the command is on top of the situation.”
