Despite being covered by immunity, Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna state and his deputy, Bala Bantex are currently at a high court where they are to testify in a libel case.
The two political leaders are standing against The Union newspaper following a report on the governor’s asset in 2015.
El-Rufai, who sued the Lagos-based newspaper organisation, alleges that he was libeled against with a report that he declared assets worth N90 billion before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
El-Rufai is to testify againt The Union newspaper for libel
The governor however denied having such assets resulting in the suit.
Meanwhile, ZENITHBLOG.com had earlier reported that Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Gudu, Abuja, on Wednesday, May 3, slammed a N10,000 fine on Nasir El-Rufai.

At the hearing today, El-Rufai for the fourth time in a row failed to produce his witness, in order to enable him substantiate a defamation suit against the former PDP spokesperson.
ZENITHBLOG.com gathered that El-Rufai has for four consecutive adjourned dates – since June 2016 – failed to produce his witness in the matter before the court.
