On Monday, February 13, the media went agog with reports that United States of America’s President Donald Trump will be putting a call through to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The report obtained from Geoffrey York, African correspondent for the Globe said, the telephone conversion between Trump and President Buhari will take place on Monday at 3.45 pm (Nigerian time).

Also, details of the planned discussion between the two presidents have emerged.

Daily Nigerian, a Nigerian news website reports that, the duo will be discussing issues surrounding security in Nigeria.

The report also said that the spokesperson for the president Femi Adesina has confirmed that there would be a telephone conversion between the two leaders.

It said sources withing

the foreign affairs ministry has revealed that the two leaders will be discussing Boko Haram in Nigeria, oil, economy and the long standing bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the US.

The sources also said that there are strong indications that President Buhari would seek the support of the US government for military hardware to sustain the nation’s fight against insurgency.

Since his assumption into office, Trump has focused on migration in the US and calling leader of notable nations including President Jacob Zuma of South Africa and Angela Merkel of Germany.
