The crisis in the PDP started after two court gave conflicting judgement on the party’s leadership.
However, on Friday, February 17, an Appeal Court in Port Harcourt in its judgement, confirmed Sheriff as the authentic national chairman of the party, against Ahmed Makarfi, the chairman of the PDP caretaker committee.
Although the Appeal Court judgment have been rejected by many PDP members, the former president Goodluck Jonathan after a meeting with Sheriff said they discussed ways resolve the crisis within the party.
