Students of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi in Edo state, have staged a massive protest against the management of the institution.

Reports obtained by ZENITHBLOG.com have it that the students are enraged by the unending industrial action by the management’s staff.
According to insiders, the students are most livid because those who are ready to graduate have been made to wait in the school since their lecturers no longer come around.

“Lecturers have not been paid and students are protesting because it’s time for resumption and graduates that are supposed to go for service are being delayed as a result of the strike,” a source within the school premises said.

It was also gathered that the students have blocked the road leading to Abuja on the expressway and have barricaded adjoining roads to the school’s entrance as well.

Students have put on the Aluta spirit as they no longer want to stay home.
As at the time of filing this report, ZENITHBLOG.com sources on ground in the school told our correspondent that the students are not likely to leave the entrance to the school anytime soon.
